    wep on normal server?

    I am using a dp-uk web hosts and was wondering if i could host a wap site on it and if i had to do anyhing special to make it work?
    Also i have a .co.uk domain name and was wonderng if i could make the wap site url with it as www.wapsite.mysite.co.uk

    Hi,

    There are two things you have to consider here. First of all the server you are using have to have at least "text/vnd.wap.wml" mime type configured on it. This is usually the case in most of the commercial web servers these days. You might also need some other mime types depending on your content.

    The second thing you have to consider is that does your operator allow you to access to the server you have the content on. If you are for example using GPRS your operator should have an access point which allows you to connect to the Internet.

    Answer to your second question is that you can use your domain name exactly the same way you can use it for normal HTML pages.
