    Question push registry

    hi,

    i'm new 2 j2me ..so can any1 tell me how 2 invoke a midlet automatically on recving a sms??
    i've registered my midlet to the port.. in the 'settings' but the manifest file does not show the (MIDlet-Push-1:..) vala msg...i'm not understanding whether it is the correct way to register the port or not
    i'm using the code as refrence from [ wma->sms from wtk 2.2 ] ...so do i need to make any changes in the code ??

    plz tell me whether my approach is right or not??
    in [ wtk ->settings -> push registry ] i've mentioned

    MIDlet-Push-1: sms://:50000, sms.x, *

    but this line is not shown in the manifest file ..i cant understand y?

    and wat do i need 2 do to make my sms recv automatically..

    Hi, i checked , WTK is not updating MANIFEST file. but i think if u put jad and jar both on device it will get register using jad parameter. try that it should work fine.

    it worked ...but y isnt it updating its manifest file ??

    Well that must be WTK issue. It might be while registring for sms on port AMS is using jad file parameter not manfest so it is not needed.

    Hi Dino,

    The push registry entry should be made/available only in the JAD file. If it is present in the manifest file then causes a number of problems. I had the experience that my application didn't get installed due to the simple reason that the push registry entry was present in the manifest file, after signing.
