How to Set Orientation of S60 App?

    Hi,

I have set orientation (always portrait) in my application using
    -> SetOrientationL(EAppUiOrientationPortrait)

Now when device in Landscape mode and i open S60 application (e.g Message ) from my application, it goes to back ground. i have used "BringToForeground()" function also.

Without implementing SetOrientationL, in Lanscape mode S60 application comes at forground and my application goes to background properly.

Please let me know, What is missing?

Re: How to Set Orientation of S60 App?

    Hi

I open S60 application from my application. Where i want to fix the layout as portrait only ( Device may be in any mode).

Right now following cases are happening.
    ---------------------
Case 1) When Device in Landscape mode & SetOrientationL implemented in my application

my application comes in Portrait mode . Whereas When i open S60 application from my application, S60 application goes to background. (Control is still in my application).

Case 2) When Device in Portrait mode & SetOrientationL implemented in my application

my application comes in Portrait mode . Whereas When i open S60 application from my application, S60 application comes at forground. (Control is still in my application).

Case 3) When Device in Landscape mode & SetOrientationL is not implemented in my application

S60 application comes at forground (in landscape mode) and My application at background.

    --------------

I want for case 1, S60 application comes at forground and my application goes background.

Re: How to Set Orientation of S60 App?

Your application is going to background or it going crash when u do not set orientation?? i guess when u set oriantaion to portrait mode, u will not receive any event on changing mode, so will work on foreground. when orientation is not set, ur app get event in HandleResourceChange and u r doing something there so it goes to background. It also depend on how u launch other application from ur application, r u sending application to background after launching it?
