    GUI EXE and console EXE

    Hello ,

In 2nd version, APP is a GUI app while EXE is a console app without GUI.
But in 3rd version, both GUI and console app are EXE now.

So what if i want an EXE running in console but sometime showing some GUI?
    currently I have two methods:

    1.make two EXEs
GUI.EXE to show the GUI, console.EXE to run at phonw startup time.
When i want to show GUI, concole.EXE will lauch GUI.EXE to draw, then close it.

    2.make one Total.EXE
Total.exe will run at startup time and has a View but the View is invisible.
When the GUI needs to be shown, the View is made visible.

So my question is which method is correct and logical?

and, what a DLL can do? Can a DLL has a view?

    thanks

Re: GUI EXE and console EXE

    1. the best way is 1, way 2 has a problem, because need shou the view, so user can use TaskList switch to show.

    2. and CAknGlobalNote / CAknGlobalMsgQuery / CAknGlobalListQuery / CAknGlobalConfirmationQuery can show some dialog in console, if it can support your require, you can use only one console exe.

    3. dll can show view.

thank you, so "CAknGlobalNote / CAknGlobalMsgQuery / CAknGlobalListQuery / CAknGlobalConfirmationQuery" can only support text, or both text/image?

If method 1 is ok, console.exe + GUI DLL is reasonable?
