    Hidding an application

    Hello,

I have a little problem with a MIDP 2.0 application.

I need my application to have a Hide button that makes application hide itsself. (Like pressing menu button for a while then choosing standby)

I have searched forum but can't find a solution.

How can I do that? Thanks for the help.

    Re: Hidding an application

If you want to hide it from the application menu, so that it is not visible to the phone user that the application is installed at all (even if it), then that is not possible.

i done through sms already and working on email.
But the other req. of my project is :
    1. it should work in backgroung, as you suggested.
    2. When we installed this application on device it will be not visible to user any more. But we can access our application using some passcode.

    Re: Hidding an application

    Hi,
J2ME application cannot be made runnable in background. It is possible for Symbian application but not for a MIDlet application. The scenario explained in the link provided is not possible with J2ME application.

    Regards,
    Senthil
