    HTTP/SocketConnection

    Hi,

    I used HTTP connection for Server Communications.....

    But i never came accross Socket Connetions...can anybody please explain me the

    Difference between HTTP and SOCKET connection classes.....

    ie what is significance of this SOCKET Connection & where it can be used??

    Hi,


    HTTP connection allows you to do data interchange using HTTProtocol only while SocketConnection can be used to send data using other protocols like UDP as well.

    If you know that you are using a WEB server to serve the response that suports HTTP or HTTPS then HttpConnection is a good choice as it has specific wrappers and it is light weight.

    While socket connection is used to do data interchange using UDP and User defined protocols that provides more low level control to the application developer.
