    That exception seems to be related to audio content. Post the code here so that someone might help you.

    Re: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException

    hi,
    thanx for your reply.

    i'm geting this exception in default emulator only. When i'm sending msg through S40 emulator i'm not getting this exception. Also, i'm not getting this exception on device

    i'm using following code to send msg:

    conn = (MessageConnection) Connector.open("sms://" + "number");
    msg = (TextMessage) conn.newMessage(MessageConnection.TEXT_MESSAGE);
    msg.setPayloadText("message");
    conn.send(msg);
    alert = new Alert("", "Message sent successfully", null, AlertType.INFO);
    alert.setTimeout(2000);
    display.setCurrent(alert);

    if there any problem with my code then pls let me know.

    thanx and regards

    Re: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException

    As Arpit write, the error message relates to playing a sound. Are you playing a sound in your application?

    Cheers,
    Graham.

    Re: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException

    hi,

    yes, i'm playing a warning sound.

    AlertType.WARNING.playSound(display);

    Is it causing that exception?

    thanx

    Re: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException

    If it is, it means your emulator is broken. What emulator is it?

    Try removing that line, see what happens.

    If the error goes away when you remove that line, try uninstalling and re-installing the emulator.

    Cheers,
    Graham.

    Re: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException

    What happens if you remove that line of code (playSound())? If removing that fixes the problem, then yes, I believe the default emulator is broken.

    Cheers,
    Graham.
