    Running a background application in s40 plattform.

    Hi all,

    I am having s40 plattform mobile(Nokia 5610). I need a program running in the background for my mobile which will automatically invokes an application at a particular time on daily basis. Its like minimizing the current application and allowing the user to perform other tasks.

    I heard like s40 plattform will not support background application.
    Is it true? If so, Is there any way to run an application in background?.
    In same s40 mobile, if applications like Alarm/Reminder etc are able to run in background, why cant we do the same for a new application?

    Thanks in advance,
    Arul

    Hi,
    use pushregistry to invoke the midlet at particular time and set the current displayable null. like pushregistry.setAlarm("midlet",time);
    display.setCurrent(null);

    try this.
