    Re: qtmain.lib not found

    Hi,
The answer I found out is simple
after configure your installation of Qt
once the required Symbian SDK, perhaps the 5th edition, has been loaded
    then

    c:\Qt\4.6.2\src\s60main>qmake -makefile
    >make release-gcce

    This builds the library qtmain.lib

    cd ..\s60install

    c:\Qt\4.6.2\src\s60install>qmake -makefile
    >make release-gcce
    will install the library

    Look in C:\S60\devices\S60_5th_Edition_SDK_v1.0\epoc32\release\armv5\urel
to find if qtmain.lib is loaded

    Thanks,
    Jim

    Re: qtmain.lib not found

I have the same problem using Symbian^3 SDK + Qt 4.7.1 for symbian. Same project compile fine with 5th Edition SDK.

    Code:
No rule to make target `\Nokia\devices\Nokia_Symbian3_SDK_v0.9\epoc32\release\gcce\udeb\qtmain.lib', needed by `\Nokia\devices\Nokia_Symbian3_SDK_v0.9\epoc32\release\gcce\udeb\myExe.exe

    Re: qtmain.lib not found

Has anyone managed to solve this issue? I'm having the same problem also. I've tried with Qt 4.6.3 which came with the Nokia Symbian^3 SDK and also the Qt 4.7.1 release. I'm working on a project which mixes Qt and Symbian C++ so need to use Carbide for the Qt app development. The application should be looking for qtmain.lib in the armv5 release NOT GCCE so it leads me to believe this is a config issue somewhere.

I've used Carbide from the start and not had this problem.

I was also having same problem. The fix for problem is:

    copy qtmain.lib from "epoc32\release\armv5\urel" to "epoc32\release\gcce\urel" folder.

Wrong. It is static library so it should be looking it from gcce/urel or whatever target your are building.

This is the correct way to fix the issue.
