Can't debug on target - device restart !

    Hi,

I'm using Carbide.c++ 2.0 and I get the following message when trying on-target debugging :

target request failed : TRKProtocolPlugin : Can't connect to TRK ...; I have tried some guilines on other threads without success.

I use a N95 connected with USB (the connection is ok, pc suite is not running ...) BUT when the debugger (on carbide) starts (trk is running on the device), the phone restarts !!!

I have installed s60_3_0_app_trk_3_0_9.sisx from com.nokia.carbide.trk.support_1.4.0.025, is this correct for the N95 ?; the sis file refers to the sdk or to the os of the phone ?; I compile with S60_3rd - phone debug (GCCE) [S60_3rd].

in the console log, I get the following prior to receive the message :

    Code:
    ---IDE------------------------------------------------------
      Command: 0x00 Ping
     [00 00]
    ---TRK------------------------------------------------------
      Command: 0x80 Acknowledge
        Error: 0x00
     [80 00 00]
    ---IDE------------------------------------------------------
      Command: 0x01 Connect
     [01 01]
    ---IDE------------------------------------------------------
      Command: 0x01 Connect
     [01 01]
    ---IDE------------------------------------------------------
      Command: 0x01 Connect
     [01 01]
any idea, please, this will help me a lot !!!
    thanks in advance,
    Domi.

Re: Can't debug on target - device restart !

Note that the N95 requires you to install the s60_3_1_app_trk_3_0_9.sisx - S60 3rd FP1 is often referred as S60 3.1

    Hi wizard_hu_

YEPS !! the problem was there BUT I have installed the s60_3_2_app_trk_3_0_9.sisx instead of the s60_3_1_app_trk_3_0_9.sisx ; with the '1', I had another problem ... strange !! I can now debug FExplorer directly on the device !

    Thanks so much,
    Domi.
