    Hi every body

I'm already an expert developer but a Microsoft C#/VB and other related language
Now I'm try to develop a mobile(Nokia)application it's just for my self exactlly to my phone

I'm worked a little before on Java using Netbeans but not J2ME
Now I'll try to try to do that
So any help will be appreciated
my little program is just I have a formula it take the date of each day as input and generate an alert on a specific time - that time is the output frm the formula-
tracing on the time and on that specific time the alert will raise doing some thing like the clock alarm for example and apopup window asking for a password or a key -I entered before when installing - if the key that introduced to the popup like my key then stop the sound or the process that worked as alarm

    just that.

Now I have the NetBeans + J2ME + Mobility Modules
my target phone : 1st 6600 then I hope to upgrade later to use with my N95
    of course my formula

    What I need
Of course any help will be appreciated but in deep I need some help just on how to start using my tools ?
how could I design the app (Clasess or not!,...)
    the GUI Design !
any related help articles or materials

    Hey,
Welcome to the Forum Nokia Discussion board,

have you install the required softwares like IDE netbeans,Mobility Pack,JRE etc..
if no then please install the same

    1.install the JRE
    2.Install the mobility pack
    3.Netbeans IDE

Now you are ready to do the code for the Java ME applications..however I would strongly recommend you that just read some article of Java ME.
    http://www.developer.com/ws/article.php/1475521
    http://www.javabeat.net/articles/27-...to-j2me-1.html
    http://java.sun.com/javame/reference/apis.jsp#api
after the reading is done ...you can come here and ask the query..
    Thanks with Regards,

I have NetBeans IDE 6.0 already installed..I think also the mobility pack installed - when creat new mobile application the Emulator platform was "Sun Java Wireless Toolkit 2.5.2 for CLDC" -
about the JRE of course it's the 1st thing installed
Is it ok ! or still I miss something

Re: Help in my 1st program to nokia

    Hi,
Yeah thats all the you must need,
You can check that the every thing is working file or not ..just open the netbeans IDE,create the new project...and you will see that MOBILITY option..and that means your things are ready for the J2ME development...

For the netbeans IDE you must need mobility pack...

the another alternative for this total story is Sun java WTK..you can work with any text editor...

Hope that this make sense to you.
    Thanks with Regards,
