    Question Receive SMS with WMA API

    Hello,

    I am working on a J2ME project and i wante to know

    Is it importante to define the SMS port on wich we receive SMS .

    Well,that depends upon the requirement....

    I mean if you want to receive the sms then you can do so if and only if the sender has send the sms on a specif port..else you will not be able to receive the sms..

    If u want to receive the sms in ur application then it is compulsory to define a defnite port number during sending and receiving of sms. Also the port must be same at sending and receiving.
