Is a dead phone realy trashed?

Can someone help? I am willing to pay to get my T-Mobile Nokia 6301b unbranded.

I used the official Nokia Software Updater; to flash it with RM-322 but it think I trashed the original software RM-323 before it even loaded the new one. During flashing it said in 5 steps: “Unable to connect to the phone please unplug it, take out the battery and then put it back together and turn the phone on”, After doing this I selected the “Retry” button on the screen. For 2 hours it was saying 15 minutes to go, however nothing happened.

Now the phone is dead, it will light up with a black screen and I can not power it down with the power button. Tried to use Nemesis but with NSS I also can not connect to it with BB5.

What to do here? If I buy another Nokia 6301b I still have the problem that my Java application is blocked from the internet. Something what RM-322 is not doing.

    Please give some advise

    T-Mobile branded Nokia 6301b
    Product code: 0557512
    HW Version: 1500
    Manufacture Month: 55.13360

    Thanks

Nokia does not support "unbranding" of operator customized phones. If for one reason or another you do not like the provided customization your choice is simple: buy a "vanilla" phone from Nokia or it's resellers. It will be more expensive (no subsidies) but I guess it is worth the money.

If your current phone is broken you have again a very easy solution: take it to an authorized service point.

Finally, this is not a site for end-users, you should try getting help at http://www.nokia.com/support or at http://discussions.europe.nokia.com

Thank you for your friendly response.
    I really appreciate the help.
You work for a great company.
I already have been to your support department off course without success.
It would be nice if someone else has same additional hints.
I am also a developer by the way.

    Thanks Rob

Re: Is a dead phone realy trashed?

I'm sorry but as said above Nokia does not support such operation (if at all possible) and I would prefer not to see a discussion on such topic on this board.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,
    Lucian
