can you also tell us the location of Perl and Carbide.c++ too.
For less problem try using c:/ for installing all sdks and related tools

    Re: Project creation problem

It may depend on the actual version of Carbide.c++ you have but I bet the error message actualy says "f:/symbian/carbide/ workspace2.0 is not a valid location"

The name of your project does not appear in the above path so the problem is not the project name but the workspace path. It has indeed two problems, if indeed your post is accurate: there is a space before workspace2 and there is a dot between 2 and 0. Both the space and the dot are unsupported characters.

So, to fix your provlem swithc to another workspace, one with a more compact name, like maybe f:/symbian/carbide/workspace20

There is now a bug report about this, #8813, asking for improvement in workspace path validation.

    Re: Project creation problem

Knowing the exact error message would be helpful. If the space in your workspace path is not a typo, you need to know that the Symbian build system does not support spaces in your path and that is probablyu the cause of your problems.

    Matt P.
