File or path name too long....

    Hi all,

I am using Carbide 2.0. I am new in this.
I get error "File or path name too long" while building project in Phone release(ARMI) Sdk 2_1.As my path exceeds Symbian Path limits.
    Do Any solution for this?
Can we use "Make -k -i" command? if yes Where can we put this?

    Thanks & Regards,
    Sheetal.

I know one solution, put your project to some up directory and keep project name short.

    Hi,

Yes, this is one of solution, but I don't want to disturb my Project hierarchy.so can we make any Changes in Project settings or any build command like "make -k(keepgoing), -i(ignore)" ?

    Thanks,
    Sheetal.

No it is limitation of the arm compiler, and there are no flags.

If you are using NTFS and an OS that supports such feature (e.g. WinXP) your can eventualy make a junction from your current project location to a root level directory (e.g. map C:\my\very\long\project\path\myProject to C:\myProject) and that would solve your problem withoug affecting too much the overall structure. Of course this may or may not solve your problem, it all depends on your configuration and needs.
