    Nokia 6100 User Agent Profile not compliant with W3C standard

    Hi,

    For the Nokia people out there, I have a mistake to report related to the Nokia 6100 User Agent Profile. The Nokia 6100 sends a reference to its user agent profile in the HTTP headers when making a request to the Web server. This UAProf can be found on http://nds.nokia.com/uaprof/N6100r100.xml. When looking at this profile, I noticed that it is not compliant with the W3C standard for RDF/UAProf in two locations:

    - attribute CcppAccept is part of component SoftwarePlatform. This must be part of the component BrowserUA
    - attribute CcppAccept-Charset is part of the component SoftwarePlatform. This must be part of the component BrowserUA as well.

    This mistake in the UAProf will cause applications not to find these two attributes in the profile. This could mean that when an application checks if the browser checks for image/jpeg support on the Nokia 6100, it will not find this. The application might then revert to B/W WBMP format. Result: applications might look not so great on this phone!! Clearly this is undesirable.

    I hope Nokia can correct this mistake and let developers benefit from the correct UAProf.

    kind regards

    RE: Nokia 6100 User Agent Profile not compliant with W3C standard

    Hello!

    In the document http://www.wapforum.org/profiles/UAPROF/ccppschema-20000405 e.g. attribute 'CcppAccept' can be found from 'Component: BrowserUA' section. However, if you see the resource data under the 'CcppAccept' description there is:

    <rdfs:domain rdf:resource="#SoftwarePlatform" />

    The new update of the document (www.openmobilealliance.org - Documents - OMA User Agent Profile version 1.1 or http://www.openmobilealliance.org/tech/profiles/UAPROF/ccppschema-20021212# ) is changed so that e.g. CcppAccept attribute can be found under the component 'SoftwarePlatform'.

    Kind regards,
