    Default port for inbox SMS

    Hello,

    Could somebody tell me the port used by the default in box SMS

    You can send the sms without any port...that will go to the native inbox of the device..
    what is the requirement..?

    You cannot intercept "regular" SMS messages using a Java application.

    The default is 0. But if you don't have any midlet or pushregistry connection that listening to a specific SMS port, you will get SMS with any port number in your inbox.

    No. The default is nothing and not zero. Because normal SMS can be 160 characters long. But if you specify port number then maximum length becomes 152 characters to accommodate port number.

    As RAJ_J2ME suggested that no need to include port number to receive sms in native inbox, me also suggest u to do the same.

    Is it really true?

    is it possible in C++ ? PC Suite gives notification how that works ? I am using Nokia 6230 (s40 series) ?

    I want to recieve sms notification when a message comes in INBOX. Please reply...
