    window layout using FILETEXT

    Hi,

I'm successfully using FILETEXT in my PKG file but got problem with text layout

For exemple, if I use the text "Thanks for installing our first game"
On a E63, you'll see "Thanks for installing our first " on first line
on a N85, you'll see ""Thanks for installing our first ga" on first line

    so I note
    - fixed font isn't used so I can't use the less common width
    - line break doesn't use word has separator

what's the best approach to make it common ? how do you handle it ?

    Thanks

    William

I have never tested it on N85 but it will work fine for other devices. It will not split the word, i.e. it will either show game on first line if it fit there or show it on second line. Is there space after ga in word game???

Each device has different resolution and defferent screen size, so even if they use same font word wrapping might be different, depending upon screen size and resolution .

    Re: window layout using FILETEXT

    Well
no, there isn't a space in "game"
I tested it on RDA but I doubt it will change something...
also, you say it splits correctly the line, I must say I have on E63
    "Thanks for installing our first"
    " game"
    notice the space before "game"

so I doubt the textfield used here is a great one

I know every phone is different (I dev on FlashLite and IT is the biggest pb) but I'm looking for the better way to support the most phones as possible (I don't want to make a text/ phone!!)
