Red Key Behavior

Dear Devs,

I am using S60 3rd Edition MR.
I am puzzled over the default behavior of the red key,
for a standard GUI application orchestrated in carbide 2.0.

By reading many posts (http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...d.php?t=108313)
I came to the conclusion that it should just send the app in the background.
Mine (on a nokia N95), it shuts down the application.

In addition HandleWsEventL is not auto generated by carbide.

Am I missing somethign here? Is HandleKeyEventL sufficient?

Re: Red Key Behavior

The behaviour of the Red key changed somewhere in the 2nd edition, before it was sending the application to the background, and nowadays it is sending the exit command. Thus depends on which device you run it, it might work differently.

With 3rd edition devices like N95, the shutting down is correct behaviour.

The behavior you can override also in HandleWsEventL().
Use Qt-Quick to make your application UI more attractive.
