Even you can change name of SIS file by right clicking it and renaming. For changing name of project, i always delete project and then import it again, i dont know if other option is available.

Also remember, name of project is somewhat different from Application name.

    Re: Change the project name

and if you meant Application Name, then there is no direct option as far as i know, you will need to search and replace, carefully with appropriate Cases, might be a half an hour job !!!

for the project name chaning, i too do a re-import (of course while deleting the project, i do not delete the contents)

    Re: Change the project name

    hi!

I have a similar issue too
I need to use my current project (to be released commercially soon)
to build another project - new UID.

from your experience people, is there a recommended way of doing this?

    thanks!

    Re: Change the project name

It might not be cleaner but it works for me.
    1. Clean your Project So that no old .exe or rSC for your project in EPOC.
    2. Search for any occurences of your old UID in files and file names too. Then replace them with New one.
    3. Then search again, just to make things sure.
    4. Name of the main .rsc file has to match with the name of the .exe file - otherwise the application will not find it.

    Re: Change the project name

I too have been following what skumar has said...

I guess there is no shortcut for this, only making sure you change the uids properly and do one round of complete testing for your application.

Also at times, it still gives problems building or later even if you follow the steps mentioned, in that case, i would add another step as the 1st step:

    * Search in the epoc32 fodler for "uid" and "projectName" and delete all the findings if it belongs to your project, and then do all the steps again as suggested by skumar
