Red face How to do bluetooth pairing using the application programs?

    Hi all,

I am new to this forum and development environment.
So as a beginner I have following questions:-
    > I want to know if its really possible to do a bluetooth pairing between two nfc devices (two nokia 6131) using Nokia 6131 NFC SDK or any other sdk and using JSR257 and JSR82 APIs in J2ME and also transfer data on it? Please guide me through regarding what all I need to have for making the bluetooth paring and transferring data. If its not feasible then please guide the alternative which I can use for getting the same done?

    > Also I want to ask is when I will call RemoteDevice class's authenticate(); will it ask the PIN (or Passkey) for doing the pairing between the devices or won't ask?

    hoping for a fast response

    Thanks in advance,
    Raj

I would like to answer the second part. When you call authenticate(), It will ask for PIN if remote device has enabled that thing in his device. Otherwise it will just send a indication message for content being sent to device.

    Hi Mitesh,

Thanks for the reply but authenticate() specific for Remote device in JSR82 has nothing to do with sending of message or user data. It just authenticate the remote device using the secret key which is present with both the device if they are already paired. But my question is will it prompt for PIN to user if there is no secret key already present.

    Thanks N Regards,
    Raj
