    Requested application Access not granted

    Hi,
    I tried to install a sip application that contains only this line pertaining sip
    iSIP = CSIP::NewL(KAppUID, *this);
    The installer says
    Requested application
    Access not granted

    i don't know what that means i intended to run a full-blown application but when it gave me that message i tried to shrink it to see where is the problem but even this single line gives an error
    NOTE THAT the application works perfectly on the emulator and i don't think it's a capability problem

    I added those capablility to my mmp file
    ReadDeviceData,NetworkServices

    The SDK states that CSIP class requires WriteDeviceData and NetworkServices - Also the two CSIPConnection::SetOptL functions require:NetworkControl, Location, ReadDeviceData

    Basically it means that the applications needs more permissions than you have in your certificate. But since its using basic capabilities certificate should not be a problem. Are u using any other API which uses other capabilities.

    Sorry since you are using WriteDeviceData you will require Developer certificate. Are you using a developer certificate.

    No I use self-signing.So in order to try any sip application on a real phone i must use developer certificate.
    Is there any way around this?
    If not Is it free and how can i get it?

    Alternatively you can use OpenSigned Online option to sign your application. but it has limitation that you will get signed application for only one IMEI.
