    Intercepting Emails... possible?

I have read about intercepting the incoming SMSes and filtering them out using some text pattern.
Can I intercept an incoming email and manipulate it?

Another question, Can I send/ forward any emails without the user intervention?

    Thnaks,

Note that SMS-s and e-mails are quite different from the delivery point of view: SMS-s are pushed to your device, while e-mails are pulled from a server upon request.
Possibility of "true" interception is questionable. Otherwise yes, you can access, modify, send, forward, delete, etc. messages on the device, without any user interaction.

Are the emails stored in the messaging store? Can I get a notification of its arrival?

What about phones supporting Push emails? Does this have the same behavior as the SMS-s?
