    Ofono instead of Ovi?

Is ofono the reason nothing seems to be happening on the Ovi-front?

Where would you get such an idea ? AFAIK OVI is moving forward according to the plan.

Some open source telephony software sponsored by Intel and Nokia has, indeed, no direct or logical bearing Ovi. Ovi is not about a telephony software stack.

How did you make the conclusion that there'd be a connection, Danneman?

Like Petrib says, these two things have absolutely no connection at all.

Ofono = telephony stack to allow phone calls on various forms of computing hardware

Ovi = application and content store

It's a bit like comparing Linux and Amazon, it doesn't really make any sense.

Is that so? No relation what so ever, you say? Just read that ovi has been cancelled, so it goes to show how much your confidence in nokia is worth. Wish you were right, though, so we hadnt wasted a considerable amount of time developing for ovi. Anyway, good luck to you, and I guess Ill see you around the developers-forums for more serious companies marketplaces.

You say you have just read it, but completely refuse to name any sources for it.

And a search on Google News reveals no news about Ovi being cancelled.

so it goes to show how much your confidence in nokia is worth.
Actually it goes to show how much confidence we can have in your posts. You're posting stuff you know isn't true, for reasons we can only guess at.

Ovi is NOT Canceled it is alive and well and will just grow. I believe it took Apple over 6 months to open the app store to all developers.

Also I apologize for not having the Ovi Store team here, they are simply a bit overwhelemed. I will gather the relevant threads and get answers for them.
