    Alert with Textbox

    hi,

    i am facing one problem, i have a list of item where on key press i want to change the quantity, i know its not possible to write key press event on High level GUI, so i am planning to use Alert with textbox, any body have any idea how to implement this??

    actually i want the textbox in the way nokia set ask for password,
    plz help me, I will be thankful to u

    I dont get u clearly please tell me about these bold lines. Whats the need of alert with textbox?

    the this is in a choicegroup list i m showing item price quantity and item name i need to update the quantity, but once i will use simple textbox then it will not look good. so i am planning to use alert with textbox same as nokia phone ask for security number once u tried to connect with bluetooth any idea

    So why dont u append TextField and ChoiceGroup on a form. Take use of itemlistener for choicegroup to check the state changed. isnt it.

    afaik an Alert doesnt support a textbox...

    I'd say if that is really rally what you want you might look into LWUIT and/or j2me Polish and see if they support such a feature...

    hey i found one more problem as key value varying from mobile to mobile. Actually i was using cnvas where on all mobile down key pressed value were -2 now on motorolla its varying. and even the value of down key also varies on every motorolla mobile any solution

    Hi shashankgr8,
    Yeah Moto devices has the different key codes as of the Nokia,Sony,and Samsung devices have.I wonder that the Moto devices itself varying with the keycode.Which moto devices you are talking about?
    What I have seen so far id that the MOTO devices has the code-6 for the DOWN key.Please share your experience.

    hi raj, i have used planty of series of moto devices and i found that even if one mobile has the key code -6 on other mobile it is like -8 or some thing not even those keys even fire key code is also different.

    but any how number key are always same.
