    PyS60 1.4.5 GPS and signing

    Hi all,

    I've developed an application that's making use of N95 built-in GPS receiver. Everything works like a charm when run in a standard Python shell. But when packaged into SIS file the app quits. I've identified that the line which is causing the problem is
    Code:
    positioning.select_module(positioning.default_module())
    I've signed my SIS at Symbian Signed with all possible capabilites but it didn't help at all. The line above is still causing problems.
    What should I do to fix my application?

    Cheers

    Hi,

    Sorry for asking this silly question, but did you specify the Location capability (and other capabilities) when creating the SIS?

    --caps=Location+...

    Just a little bit more clarification: you have to define the capabilities TWICE: first time when creating the SIS, second time at Symbian Signed. Same capas both times, of course.

    I didn't know about that until today. I thought it's enough to specify them when signing.

    Thank you Bogdan and JOM for your help.

    Hi Robert,
    Do you know any website which can download map (Singapore) with longitude and latitude for N95.
    I need it for the GPS.

    I didn't fully understand what you need, but you can find (and export) Singapore's map from http://openstreetmap.org/
