Thx for the reply. But if neither of these file contains server information then how does the application communicates to the server? how does it know to which server the requests has to be sent?

Usually from the settings of the device: Tools/Settings/Connection/SIP settings

To add to that those settings would be stored presumably in the private folder of the respective application and you will not have access to it for security reasons.

Thanks for the reply Mayank. I feel that the file "!:\private\10003a3f\import\apps\voiz_0x20023305_reg.r01" contains the registration server address but I am not able to know that what extension is it and how can I view the content of this file?

Please help me if you know it

    Regards

Re: Registeration Server in Mobile VoIP Client

That is a wrong guess. The \private\10003a3f\import\apps\*_reg.r?? file binds the icon (\resource\apps\*.m??) file(s) to the executable (\sys\bin\*.exe), it can not contain anything else.
Anyway, if you are interested in the contents of a file, use a file viewer. Even notepad is capable of showing the "readable" parts of a file.

Why are you so sure about that the installation package contains SIP settings? Does it create a new SIP configuration after it installs?

It doesnt create a SIP configuration and after installing the app I created a SIP profile manually but it didn't work. The app has built with tunnel support so that it can work even in those countries where ISP's block the VoIP traffic. I can accept that app takes the registration server details from the SIP configuration of the mobile but then how it connects to the tunnel server? I have the tunnel server running and if it takes the registration server details from SIP configuration so there must be a file which contains the details about the tunnel like the tunnel server IP address and the port. I would be really thankful if you could suggest me a solution for this.

That is still a configuration issue. You should look around on the end-user discussion forum, http://www.nokia.com/discussion
