how to use kuneri to run a flash lite? (very beginner question)

I'm trying to follow the tutorial http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...s_in_FlashLite
    It says:
To test your application without deploying it on a real device:

    * Start the KuneriLite emulator with the default settings (port: 1001, key: Basic).
    * Start your FlashLite movie.
    * Press Find Me! and wait for your image to load (the GPS position is, of course not real when testing on the emulator )

    My questions are:
    1) upon starting KuneriLite, what do we key in for the application path? (for example if my flash lite file is at c:\testing\aa.swf
    2) can i put my aa.swf at any location or it has to be at specific location?

when i press Find Me! nothing happens and my emulator screen still shows 'You can launch SWF now'. what is the problem?

    Hi weiwei2,

the path of the SWF is not related to KuneriLite emulator: both of them can be located in any path you prefer, since they only comunicate via http calls. The only important thing is that, when you run your SWF in the device central, you have KuneriLite emulator already running.

About your problem: can you post the device central output logs, to check if there's something wrong?

If you go to KuneriLite Launch Emulator display :
KuneriLite Key and Listening port : these should be same than in loadVariables/HTTP calls (http://127.0.0.1:<port>/<key>/ )
(You can use emulator also from browser. I recommend before using with SWF.)

Application Path: This have only meaning for 2 files :
Emulator will save klRequest.txt and klResponse.txt in the
    EPOCROOT\Epoc32\winscw\c\[APPLICATION PATH]

klRequest.txt will contain the variables in loadVariable call and
klResponse will have the KL response variables.
    Very useful for testing

    Cheers

Re: how to use kuneri to run a flash lite? (very beginner question)

when i launch kuneri lite emulator, a dos command window will pop up and says 'launching emulator, please be patient...'
after that the s60 emulator is loaded, and the dos command prompt will have 'press any key'
should i press any key? (if i press, the dos command window will exit)
here is the flash output log on the device central cs4
    the log is empty
i also can't find where the klRequest.txt and klResponse.txt are. i set my path to desktop

    Hi weiwei2,

from your output log it seems that you're correctly starting and reading KuneriLite GPS plugin, so problem seems to lie in the call made to retrieve the Google static map. Have you tried by using other formats instead of 'jpg'? You could try with 'jpeg' and 'png' and see what happens.

    Hope it helps,
