    Required application access not granted

I am into the development of a VOIP application.I have developed in S60 3rd edition FP@.

I make sip registrations and make inbound/outbound call. On completion of SIP, RTP packets need to be sent from one device to another. The packets to be sent from mic has to be encoded and send to remote. Similarly the packets recieved should be played in local audio player. In the same manner I want to send and recieve video packets.

When I try to put this sis file in SGH-i450, then on installing i am getting error "Required application access not granted". I understood this is due to capablilities "MultimediaDD WriteDeviceData ReadDeviceData".

    My certificate created
    "makekeys -cert -password World123 -len 1024 -dname "CN=World User OU=Development OR=WorldCompany CO=FI EM=World@test.com" myCert.key MyCert.cer" does not support the above capablities.

Shall I need to purchase ACS Publisher Id? If I purchase ACS Publisher Id will it support all the above mentioned capabalities Is it charged, per IMEI
    basis?

Please help me to understand what are the pre-requistes for developing a VOIO application in mobile.

For developerment time you do require a developer certificate for the capabilities, and for released versions you actually need to get it symbian signed. Maybe you could visit www.Symbiansigned.com, and read the basics on the signing requirements for Symbian application.

Shall I need to purchase ACS Publisher ID? Is Publisher ID is sufficient for getting developer certificate to have MultimediaDD , WriteDeviceData,ReadDeviceData capabilities.

    Open Signed Online
    Open Signed Offline
    Express Signed
    Certified Signed

In this which one I need to select?

With publisher ID you can eihter sign your application using Open Signed (offline) or get developer certificate from Symbian Signed.

Sorry, I am slightly confused with the documents.

With a publisher id, I can accquire Restricted Capabilities , User Capabilities, System Capabilities.

Which option I need to select for this
Open Signed (with Publisher ID) or Certified Signed options
    or both

You could check the documentations provided in www.symbiansigned.com, I remember them explaining the signing process with different capabilities pretty well.

Re: Required application access not granted

Usually people use Certified Signed options to sign application for release version. And Open Signed (with Publisher ID and which has IMEI restriction) to testing purpose. Use one of them as per your need.

If I have purchased publisher id and installed in a particular hard disk will I be able to uninstall and change to another hard disk if necessary.

There is nothing in the signing process that bars you from doing that.
