Re: symbian signing check 14 UID in binary file

    Check the following.

    1. The exe name in the mmp file is <appname_UID>.exe
    2. The Target resource name is <appname_UID>
    3. The Target Reg Resource name is also <appname_uid>

    In the _reg.rss file

    1. your app_file is <appname_uid>

and you have changed your resource file includes everywhere.

    Hope this works.

Also note that it is only a recommendation, not mandatory (CHECK-14). So if you dont change it, than symbiansigned just gives you a warning and will not reject signing application.

But better follow it as it would stop two applications having the same exe name

agree with Paul, it is always better to pass without any warnings.

You change the name in the .mmp file, and rebuild it. And of course modify the user code to link with the new .lib file.

its not that easy sir, i already tried that way, there must be some some points to put the changes on. i did change the mmp and build the code, it was success, but .lib file generated was of old name.
