    SIP profile information

Hello, I have a great deal of troubles filling out the information fields in the SIP profile settings. I have tried SIP_VoIP_3_x_Settings but it is not supported on nokia n96. So someone please post a template information for a public SIP server that I enter in the SIP settings after which I will create an account on that server.
    Thanks in advance.

    Re: SIP profile information

"Note that SIP settings are not sufficient to enable VoIP service for an S60 device. The
device also has to be configured with VoIP and NAT traversal settings, which are out of
    the scope of this document."

That was the last words from the pdf you suggested. It explains a lot but what NAT and VoIP services that have to be enabled, I know that NAT configuration is adjusted automatically for a given access point (I even think that I don't need a NAT if I'm going to supply the IP of the server).
Secondly What are the VoIP settings that have to be configured ? I'm working with with Nokia N96 and if doen't support either sip settings 2rd or 3rd edition.

Finally what is the realm of the server?

    Unhappy Re: SIP profile information

Ok to make things clearer, All I want to do is to register my device on a SIP server so here is what I did

I installed 3CX and run it (with IP 192.168.1.2)

After running the server I created an account and the server told me to enter this information on my SIP client
    usrename :100
    password :100
    authentication name :100
    proxy server : 192.168.1.2:5060

    On the device side

In the SIP setting main screen

    profile name :islam
    Service profile :IETF
Default access point : I chose the access point to which the serve rand the phone are connected to
    public user name :sip:100@192.168.1.2
    Use compression : no
    Regestration : Always on
    Use security : No
    ####################
    In the Proxy server screen
    #####################
    proxy server address: sip:192.168.1.2
Realm : 192.168.1.2 (I'm not sure about this one but I also tried the domain name which 3CX suggested during the installation but it didn't work either)
    User name:100
    password:100
    Allow Loose routing:Yes
    Transprot type : Automatic
    PORT : 5060
    ###########################
    In the Registrar window
    ##########################
    Registrar Server address: sip:192.168.1.2
    Realm : 192.168.1.2
    User name:100
    password:100
    Transprot type : Automatic
    PORT : 5060

    #####################################
After setting this the status of my profile is Not registered
I tried to use the same account on 3CX sip client and it worked

    Please somebody help me out
