Go to product's presentation page and check the technical specifications: http://europe.nokia.com/A4995455

Under User Interface it says "Series 40 user interface with Active Standby" and that is the answer to your question. Nokia 5220 is not a Symbian OS powered phone, it uses the Series 40 software platform which is based on the proprietary Nokia OS.

Re: What's the OS in 5220?

Hi bmxvlad, welcome to Forum Nokia.

This is a site for software developers and the resources provided are useful in that context.
Of course there is a difference between the info provided in an end-user facing marketing material (my link) and the info provided in the technical specifications provided to a developer (your link).

The answer is still the same: Nokia 5220 is not based on Symbian OS but on Series 40. If Delfins cares about which version of the Series 40 platform the device has, I'll let him ask the question. But I guess he doesn't really care since he is not a developer. If you don't believe me, ask him
