    NEW pyS60 1.9.x sis creation Dev Tools

    Some of you may be interested, in an enhancement of the Ensymble GUI script,
    and a small script for sis bundling, that I have created within the process of a program development.
    The Ensymble Enhancement is for scripting of the sis creation process. It extends the original GUI tool, with autocreating a python script that can be used to repeat the same creation process later again.
    The bundling script is a tool for bundling pyS60 sis runtime with your application sis file into one single installation container.

    Both are not perfect, but may be helpful.
    And both are available for free download from www.5thware.de web site.

    Juergen

    PS: thanks to the creators of pyS60 !!
    PPS: you can also find their the game, for which I have used the tools...

    Re: NEW pyS60 1.9.x sis creation Dev Tools

    Hi Juergen,

    Thanks for sharing these useful apps !

    I tested both minutes ago. For first one (ensymble_gui_2script) I had the same error described in this thread. But it is not related to your code, in fact.

    Additionally, I used merge_runtime to merge my app and the runtime PythonForS60_1_4_5_3rdEd.sis. The sis is created but when I tried to install it I received a message saying that the application was not compatible with phone (E71). I have already installed both sis files separately, without problems.

    Any additional recommendation ?

    My setup:

    Code:
    ##REQUIRED settings
    application="Wordmobi"	#e.g. "myApplication"
    VersionA="0"		#e.g. "24"
    VersionB="8"		#e.g. "12"
    VersionC="0"		#e.g. "09"
    #following is UID of the application (as used during sis generation)
    UID="0xefefefef"    		#like "0xE7765432"
    #following is a NEW UID for the merged sis file; use UID +1 , for example
    UID2="0xefefeff0"
    #following is the runtime that shall be merged
    runtimefile="PythonForS60_1_4_5_3rdEd.sis"
    #folliwing is the UID of the runtime file; note that this is the UID of the outer merged file of the runtime, if it is a merged file !
    RUID="0x2000B1A0"
    #following is a vendor name
    vendorname="Wordmobi"	#e.g. "myCompany.com"
    Thanks a lot !

    Hi Marcelo,
    on your first problem, I have no idea. For me it works fine, though I also
    get warning about "sensor_defs not found". But in fact everything works fine.

    Mmmh, I just remember: there was some issue when using pre-compiled modules;
    The new module flow does not recognize the used sub-modules from that. Therefore I am always putting in one dummy module (uncompiled), which just lists all the modules that are somewhere imported.

    Regarding the merging, you have to take out the lines
    fd.write(';Supports Series 60 v 5.0\n')
    fd.write('[0x1028315F], 0, 0, 0, {"S60ProductID"}\n')
    from the script, or add corresponding lines for other versions of S60, like
    fd.write(';Supports Series 60 v 3.0\n')
    fd.write('[0x101F7961], 0, 0, 0, {"Series60ProductID"}\n')
    for 3rd edition.
