    Thumbs up Re: How to view File Content from the J2ME application?

    U can view the contents of any file through platformRequest(). Just pass the path of the desired file to the platformRequest().

    just add the protocol like this
    string URL = "file:///"+"path"..

    platFormRequest(URL);
    thanks,
    jitu_goldie..

    KEEP TRYING..

    Re: How to view File Content from the J2ME application?

    Hi neeraja,

    handling of different media types changes from a type to another:

    * text can be easily read via FileConnection API and then shown on a Canvas/Form/List
    * for Images you have to read all Image bytes via FileConnection API and then use Image createImage() method to create it. Then you can show it on a Canvas as well as on other Displayables.
    * for audio/video types you basically have to use MMAPI, and create a Player to playback files' content
