    Nokia 6610 jad file problem

In Nokia 7210 document it said if you want to save the java application into Game category, you should state a line "Nokia-MIDlet-Category: Game" in the jad file. I have try it, it works in Nokia 7210 emulator. But when I use the application installer to install the java application, it still save in the Application category. My Nokia 6610 is simply chinese version will it cause the problem. Or use the Application installer to install application should have another way.

RE: Nokia 6610 jad file problem

    Hello,

In the case you want your MIDlet be installed in the "Game" category, 2 processes are needed:

    1. "Nokia-MIDlet-Category: Game" should be stated in the jad file.
    2. MIDlet should be installed OTA download.

When you install the MIDlet through application installer or other local environment, it always goes into the "Application" category.

    Regards,
    Kui

RE: Nokia 6610 jad file problem

    Hi,

In currently available Nokia Series 40 phones "Nokia-MIDlet-Category: Game attribute doesn't work with application installer. It only works when you download midlets to a phone using WAP.

    Best Regards,
