Question How to read messages from "My Folders"?

Does pys60 support to read from user folders of messages? I mean the "My Folders" section of messaging. I have lots of messages in specific folders, and I want to back them up. How shall I do this? (Without moving all the messages to inbox first)

As far as I know it doesn't. According to the documentation:
The following data items are available in the inbox module to define the type of the folder for Inbox objects:

    EInbox
    The device's inbox folder.

    EOutbox
    The device's outbox folder.

    ESent
    The sent messages folder.

    EDraft
    The draft messages folder.

So there two answers for this:
If Someone wants to access the other folders, he should use the standard s60 SDK

    Or

Move all the messages in every folder to one of the mentioned inbox, sent, outbox and draft folders and run his script

    Am I right?

I'm not sure I understand... If you mean use Symbian C++ (the native S60 language) then yes, that's probably the only solution that doesn't require moving the messages.

    Indeed, that should work.

Re: How to read messages from "My Folders"?

Tnx for the answer. Yes, I meant the symbian c++.
But there appears another problem: If I move all my messages from folders to eg. Inbox, then how should the application know that the message is sent or received? The address property can not be used for this matter. It appears that the only way is to check the system logs and see whether the sms is sent or received. Is this the only option again?
