    problem with WMA!!!

i started writing some simple application for sending sms based on & with the help of the chatExample aplication.

when i first dowloaded the WMA from the sun, Forte didn't feel and i had the compiling error cannot find package "javax.wireless.messaging.*"
i copied the folder wireless from the classes.zip of the toolkit to the claases.zip of all the emulators devices (particulary 7210, which i'm currently experimenting with), now the code compiles successfully.
But when i come 2 execute i get a class not found exception: cannot find class javax.wireless.messaging.Message
Does this have anything 2 do with that i manually attached the classes 2 the zip file, then why did it compile then??

    Any suggestions plzzzzzzz

    RE: problem with WMA!!!

You description of the problem is a little confusing. Anyway, to run the WMA example you need to use the 3410 SDK. The example needs to be compiled against BOTH Nokia SMS and WMA APIs which this SDK provides. This is mentioned in the README.txt that comes with the example. It is advisable to read the documentation before proceeding.

After compiling it you should be able to run it on 3410 (supports Nokia SMS API only though SDK supports both) or the 3650 (supports WMA only).

    Hi,

As I know, only 3650 supports WMA. Nokia SMS is supported by 3410. So u can't use 7210 to test.

    3410 API

On a page ( forum.nokia.com/main/1,,1_0_55_10,00.html ) describing 3410 the following JAVA APIs are listed :

    JAVA APIs
    - CLDC 1.0
    - MIDP 1.0
    - Nokia UI API
    - Nokia SMS API
    - Wireless Messaging API (JSR 120)

It is the first time I see that 3410 supports Wireless Messaging API.

    Is this correct?
