    3510 + socket

According to the cldc specs, the nokia 3510 supports tcp/ip via the Connector classes. If the HTTPConnection does work, it seems that the "socket" protocol isn't supported. Does anyone know something about it and in case yes, have a piece of code to implement it ?

    3510 Sockets not supported

In the MIDP Spec, it says that only "http"is mandatory. In this case the 3510 (and i) does not support sockets. I disassembled the Simulator classes and can see the socket support under the Http implementation but unfortunately the Java Security Manager stops you from accessing the sockets directly.

I did, however spot that the Http implementation supports HTTP 1,1 "chunked" content. I wrote a test and it seems to work, allowing you to receive a series of updates along the same Http connection, without making another request. Unfortunately it loses its use because if you block trying to read from the connection when there is no data available, ALL Java threads are also blocked at the same time and you get no response until a chunk of data has been received.
