    Question Symbian Signed question,Please help

    Dear all,

I've developed an application, and now I want to sign my application.

my GUI application will launch my Console application.and 2 these processes will communication via Socket

    here is my package my:

;You should change the source paths to match that of your environment
    ;<source> <destination>
    "$(EPOCROOT)Epoc32\release\$(PLATFORM)\$(TARGET)\GUI.exe" -"!:\sys\bin\GUI.exe"
    "$(EPOCROOT)Epoc32\data\z\resource\apps\GUI.r01" -"!:\resource\apps\GUI.r01"
    "$(EPOCROOT)Epoc32\data\z\private\10003a3f\apps\GUI_reg.r01" -"!:\private\10003a3f\import\apps\GUI_reg.r01"
    "$(EPOCROOT)epoc32\data\z\resource\apps\GUI_aif.mif" -"!:\resource\apps\GUI_aif.mif"
    "$(EPOCROOT)epoc32\data\z\resource\apps\GUI.mbm" -"!:\resource\apps\GUI.mbm"

; Add any installation notes if applicable

    GUI.cfg" -"!:\Data\GUI.cfg", FN

    "$(EPOCROOT)Epoc32\release\$(PLATFORM)\$(TARGET)\ConsoleApp.exe" -"!:\sys\bin\ConsoleApp.exe"

    Here are my questions:

    1. Do i need to sign my ConsoleApp(if need how can i do that) ?

    2. Is there any violate with Symbian signed test criteria?

you can have multiple exe files is a sis file if that is required by your application, and it should be ok with the symbian signed criteria as well.

    Woa!!!

    Thanks alot for your response

I also have one more concern:

my GUI application has an UID3 (for example 0x20000001)
my Console application has another UID3(for example 0x20000002)

which UID I should put in pkg file

    ; standard SIS file header
    #{"myApp"},(0x2???????),1,0,31

Those UIDs look way too nice, so are you sure those are reserved under the same company as owns the publicer ID you are going to use in the signing ?
Anyway, it does not matter which UID you would use in the pkg, unless you are having a autostarting stuff etc. that would actually require a corret one to be used.

Just to add on Jukka's words: You are actually signing a sis file and not any exe/resources. So whatever is in one sis file comes as one signing.

Edit: aah finally it got posted(felt like some maintainence break) when the discussion has gone far beyond
