I would really like it if we had one library and each API says which version of S60/Symian it applies to.

Ideally it would also include whether the API was supported by licencee's such as Samsung

Many times i found it useful.

Some time i found it difficult to search a particular API. For example when i search for "ccoecontrol" it shows a list of all API which uses CCoeControl in it and show someother API on top of result, while SDK documentation (.chm file) always show API reference of CCoeControl on top of result.

The search capability really needs to be fine tuned, coz lot of times it returns so many links, without actually returning the simple class reference link when the intent is to just look for some functionalities/capabilities etc.

Also it should mentioned what SDK version the API works for and if it has been deprecated if there is a substitute for it. Sometimes a small explanation as to why a particular API is being deprecated could be really useful as well.
    Cheers,

I have to agree that the relevance in the searches is very poor. You really have to 'look around in the searches' to find something relevant (order hasnt been too reliable)
I would second Kumars suggestion of a .chm version, giving more options of a developer chosing what he wants.

Yes, I am in favour of having .chm file. It always seems painful to search from the S60 3rd FP2 SDK help(eclipse version). Mostly I use S60 3rd MR SDK help (.chm) to search everything.

In my opinion the Developer's Library is very helpful. But the relevance in the searches is the main disadvantage at this moment.

Re: C++ Developer Library feedback needed !

Relevance (or rank) was not a strong point of the .chm version neither. But it enabled the user to sort the list by title. And it also had an index.

    Now the off-line version
    - has no index
    - provides the results of a search in an unreadable list (reading those blue titles with the black excerpts between really tires my eyes)
    - and which is hard to navigate (as it has been mentioned before, it does not support ordering by title, and it does not provide any other means of navigation - even a sequence number, which is actually the rank, could make it easier to re-locate a hit which has been found once already)

And in case of the on-line version
    - index does not work for me
    - the search results are still unmanageable - though it does not hurt the eye that much, because the black inserts can be removed
