    Smile Network prompt

    Hi,

I'am working on a background application. Periodically it fetches some data from server. The problem is
that it shows the prompt for selecting the access point. How can I suppress it. Is application signing the
    only way ?

    Regards,
    Jaak

Have you tried creating a RConnection to an existing AP everytime you do a communication, something like :-

    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...nnect_to_it%3F

also application would have to be signed/have required capabilities depending upon the type of connection, check the sdk for more details
    Cheers,
    Mayank

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I'am not trying to connect through WLan. Can you point to some links
which shows how to select an access point automatically without user intervention. I'am
    prepared to sign my application.

    Regards,
    Jaak

Just search for RConnection in the Wiki then.
