No output in "TRK Program Output" console

    Hi everybody,

I try to debug my application in a N95 8Gb device, so I follow this tutorial : http://developer.symbian.org/wiki/in..._on_the_Device.
The connection seems to work fine because the Status of TRK is "In Use". The problem is that, when I launched my application, nothing appeared in the Console "TKR Program Output". (I try with another program and I get the same result).
    So I ask :
    - Is it normal ? I expected to have the same output than emulator.
    - Do you know how can I check that all is well configured ?
    - Perhaps another way to debug on a device ?

    Thanks you.
    Regards and Peace.

What kind of "same output" do you expect? The device is not the emulator. The emulator executes debug binaries, producing debug output. The devices you buy in a store run release variants, producing no debug output.

Re: No output in "TRK Program Output" console

    Ok I see
I want to debug my program, it should generate and write in a log file (and do something else) but nothing seems to be done... And It works on emulator.
So I try TRK to know what's happen, like a "Panic Error" or something. Perhaps should I use RDebug to see where my program stooped ? In fact I don't find how use TRK.
    Regards and Peace.

Note that if there are capability problems, TRK will not be able to not launch your application.
Since your application works in the emulator, check if there are warnings in the logfile (http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/Epocwind.out)
And yes, even if the built-in stuff in the device will not generate debug output, your own application can (if it is a debug build - RDebug does not do anything in release builds)
About the error codes, they may be independent from TRK, so make sure that you have enabled them (http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...ded_panic_code)

Thank you very much for your help, now I use RDebug::Printf() to debug.
