    Time-restricted URL

    Ciao,

can we have more details on the "Time-restricted URL" from the Channels metadata ?
What is a scenario in which can be used?

Also, the URL is an external URL, or an OVI Store url to content?

    Thanks
    Alessandro

    Re: Time-restricted URL

    Hi,
    This is also my question.
As an customer, how is the TR URL working when i'm downloading a paid product?
Is it like after purchasing and downloading one product, i will be told 'you can't access this file' or just asked to buy it again after 2 or 6 hours?

    Thanks
    Raphael

    Hi,
Last time I looked at this its a temporary link that is sent to your phone ie. Thats an external link. As I understand this the link is external and lasting of 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the setting in the publisher settings.

This has basically surpassed by the fact that the user can now download that app on the same phone.
So really this facility is pointless. I think you have three chances then you need a new request from your purchase list store/vault.

Originally this was a link to the store-id. This link has now been encrypted so you cannot just change the app id and by chance been lucky load someone else's copy. I spotted this early not long after the store opened and got this fixed.
