Carbide supports all the s60 sdks right from 1.2 to latest 5th editions.
Did u try any applications on sdk 2.0...

I have been using 2.0 SDK quite often, should work...

Officially no(If you are looking to use templates), but they do work. There have also been some suggestions like one in http://blogs.forum.nokia.com/blog/lu...carbide.c-v1.3 to get things work on newer carbide(should apply for 2.0 too.) The idea is basically the templates are not removed, they still exist. Only thing is you should know how to make use of them.

A free IDE supporting 2nd ed is Carbide.c++ 1.2 which is available at http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.n...807624c94.html

    Good Luck!

If I am not wrong then Carbide C++ 2.0 doesn't have support for S60 2nd edition SDKs officially, you still can use Carbide.c++ v2.0 with some hacks for S60 2nd Edition.

See the blog entries here which explains that hack: How to enable support for old SDKs in Carbide.c++ v1.3

The older version of carbide is available here.

well Carbide 2.0 is working with 2.0 SDK.... probably as mentioned, doesn't provide templates, but otherwise I see no problem. I haven't applied any hacks too, i guess the hacks are to use the templates...

Yes, the hacks are if you are interested in templates. Otherwise, you are able to use without problems.

You probably have the wrong SDK. I would go for the CW flavour of SDK.

I think it is the CW version that is needed for Carbid 2.0/1.2 i did it , its working but now real trouble is , how i can compile a UI designer based application created for s60v3 with s60v2 ? this application has basic features no s60v3 related stuff , how can this be done ? please guide !

    Thanks
