Cannot run .py scripts the oldschool way

I just got a newer device to develope on. Its the e50, a 3rd ed initial release and I have the interpreter and shell installed and running.

I'm used to running my py scripts by installing them from the inbox (this is how I did it with the First ed). If I try this with the e50, it opens the script in the Notes application.

Is it possible to do it this way with the newer phones or do I manually have to copy the files to the py folder and try to run them from there?

    Thanks.

You have to copy the script files to the Python folder and run them using the script shell.

How do you do that? The only option I have in the inbox folder, is to move it to the MyFolders folder. From there I can only move it back to the inbox. I opened the file manager and the inbox/MyFolder places are not visible there. Same thing happens if I browse my phone with my PC through BlueTooth.

    Am I missing something here?

    hello r3bol

actually what i do is use the LCG explorer and move it from the messaging to E:\\Python.

and the other option is to use the Nokia PC suite.

Thanks, I'm downloading the LCG explorer now. The PC Suit was out of the question since I'm running Linux. It does make life easier though. I use it a lot at work.
