    IF option1 = 1
    "help.txt" - "C:\Data\help.txt"
    ENDIF

the issue is: it's alway intall help.txt file regardless which option I select

could you please explain me what is wrong ?
or there is any work arround for this issue?

    Re: Install option file

    !({"English"},{"French"},{"German"})

    IF option1 ;English
    ... do English stuff
    ENDIF

    IF option2 ;French
    ... do French stuff
    ENDIF

    IF option3 ;German
    ... do german stuff
    ENDIF

This has been working for me at least.. so remove the "=1" stuff..

    Re: Install option file

ok, I have always had multiple options, anyway, could indeed be that is it supposed to work in a way you have determined it to behave, and indeed it might be that there needs to be at least one item selected on the options..

anyway, have you cheked wiki already: http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...e_File_Options

maybe you could use TEXTSKIP instead.

    Re: Install option file

Never used that myself, so not having any ready made exmaples, anyway, maybe you can check whether SDK docs are giving more information than the wiki page, as well as you can always try out and see whether you can get it working..

    Re: Install option file

    Hi,

I have used TEXTSKIP like this:
    "help.txt"- "",FT,TS

But, after display the dialog message, I can't know whether user pressed YES or NO button.

just have search on forum i also know that this option (TEXTSKIP) is not implement for S60 3rd

I need it for pass symbian signed(auto-startup test case).

    please suggest !!!

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Install option file

you could run a application that asks user whether the autostart should be enable or not.

Basically you might not need to build anything additional, I suppose you have GUI application that can handle the setting on/off for autostarting, so you could run that one, and make a logic in your application that when it is first run it will go directly to the settings view..

    Re: Install option file

    Thanks yucca,

    let me describle my requirement:

I am developing an application that has auto-start-up function as default
but base on SymbianSigned Criteria: the application should not auto start as default,if it's start up as default, you must alow user to control this behaviour during installation time.

I will implement your suggestion, hope it will pass SymbianSigned
