You can't, sadly. The Nokia SDKs aren't available for Linux. By searching the discussion boards and the Wiki you might be able to find some attempts to run the SDKs on Linux.

Re: N97 Emulator for Linux (Ubuntu + Eclipse)

Yes you can. You can install the Sun Java Wireless Toolkit (if you don't have it already) which acts as an emulator. You could also try NetBeans, which works on Linux. It's just that you probably won't be able to get the Nokia SDKs to work on Linux (I can't remember if there were any success stories regarding this).

Question Re: N97 Emulator for Linux (Ubuntu + Eclipse)

Ok, I installed Sun Java Wireless Kit and I runned a example with the emulator but I would like to have
a emulator with GPS. All with Eclipse.

I am reading now this web:
    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph..._SDKs_on_Linux

I can't understand correctly how to install the N97's SDK for my environment (Ubuntu + Eclipse)

If I develop a J2ME application it will be run in a N97?? (without the sdk?? )

    Sorry for me english.

    Thanks!!

Re: N97 Emulator for Linux (Ubuntu + Eclipse)

The Sun Java Wireless Toolkit provides all the standard APIs so unless your application needs a special one (like JSR 256) it will work on N97 and other devices which support the APIs your application uses.

Re: N97 Emulator for Linux (Ubuntu + Eclipse)

My application uses the Criteria class (JSR 179 Location Api for J2ME).

Will it be a problem ??

I have an example of use a internal GPS and I obtain: Latitude = 0 and Longitud = 0.

    Thanks.
