How to display startup screen when using CVideoPlayerUtility

The new video is opened and prepared and at that point, one would like the first frame to be displayed - as sort of "ok, ready to go". But nothing is visible until you press play - I don't intend to automatically start playing when the video is changed (which would of course solv the problem, but not in the right way)!
I tried to play the first millisecond and yes, then I get the frame visible, BUT then playing it becomes a hazzle - pressing play once (1) results in only progressbar moving (it doesn't use PositionL()), second pressing (2) will result in a possibly "playing one frame", the third (3) will actually start the "normal" playing of the video.
    How to proceed?

I don't there is any solution with that API, the GetFrameL function would be for that purpose, but AFAIK it is not implemented: http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...deo_clip_fails

Thus you would actually need to look into different APIs..

Yes, There is no solution for this yet. Actually I know a couple of guys working on a project for displaying the thumbnails in the playlist. For this they are having to write a whole thumbnail engine which will actully parse through the video and find the best image for the thumbnail. All these because the GetFrameL is not working.
