    Can java do this?

    Some of our servers notify me of errors with SMS messages. Is it possible to use Java on a cellular phone to check the incoming message and then beep in different fashions according to the senders phone number and the content of the text? E.g; I get an SMS from 555-1234 with the content "disk full" -- I would then like the phone to play a sinister melody loudly.

    Only way how Java MIDlet can get incoming SMS message is that SMS is sent to the spesific recipients port number +12350123123:7777;
    So the recipient (client) is waiting for incoming messages by listening a specific port number and that means that MIDlet has to be running by that time.
