    encryption error, Cannot read keyfile.key.

When I attempt to sign my sis file with signsis.exe (with my cert and key that I created with tcp12p8) I get the error, "encryption error, Cannot read keyfile.key." How do I solve this?

check that the file name (also maybe the path) is correct, and if it is consider the possibility that the file is corrupted..

The files are all in the same directory so the paths are correct. I also recreated the keyfile.key with tcp12p8 again and got the same error. The keyfile and certfile were created with a newly issued and exported certificate from Trustcenter, so that's probably not it either. Any other ideas?

Re: encryption error, Cannot read keyfile.key.

OK, I've tried it again by exporting the certificate with the following settings:

Tools -> Internet Options... -> Content -> Certificates -> Certificates... -> Personal -> [Select the correct Certificate] -> Export... -> Next -> Yes, export the private key -> Next -> [...]PKCS #12

    Selecting BOTH:
    * Include all certifiactes in the certification path if possible
    * Enable strong protection (requires IE 5.0, NT 4.0 SP4 or above)

This time when I ran signsis application.sis application.sisx certfile.cer keyfile.key [password] it did not give me an error - it didn't give me an indication of success, but it didn't give me an error.

So I attempted to verify it with:

    C:\Documents and Settings>signsis -o application.sisx

    Primary:
Issued by TC TrustCenter Class 2 L1 CA III.
    Issued to Development.
    Valid from 25/06/2009 to 25/06/2010.

    C:\Documents and Settings>verify.exe application.sisx

    ------------------------------
    File format : SISX (V9)
    SIS file : application.sisx
    ------------------------------
    Symbian Signed : No
    Developer Certificate Signed : No
    ACS Publisher Signed : No
    Unknown Certifictaes : 1
    ------------------------------

I don't know if it's going to work yet, but I'm forging ahead...

Nope, it's still not working. When I attempt to install the app on my phone I get an error: "Certificate error. Contact the application supplier."
